Course includes lecture, videos and skills practice on manikins. Curriculum by College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University and the ASPCA. Two year certification awarded to successful participants (must attend the entire class and pass a short quiz).

Course will be taught by Cindy Tait, a nationally certified Pet First Aid instructor and a paramedic and trauma flight nurse for 30 years.

Skills include urgent care for:

safely restraining an injured pet
airway obstruction and CPR
shock and bleeding
poisoning and overdose
allergic reaction
snake, insect and spider bites
broken bones
seizures
electric shock
eye and ear injuries
burns
And much more!
