On October 16, 2015, the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center will be offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for FREE, as part of National Feral Cat Day, a spay/neuter campaign to alter feral/free-roaming cats.

Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to reduce the homeless pet population and is safe for kittens as young as eight to 10 weeks old, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association. Spaying a female cat before the first heat cycle can be beneficial, improving the health of the cat by reducing the risk of certain reproductive cancers and infections.

This special rate is available to all residents of Riverside County. Residents feeding feral/free-roaming cats who wish to take advantage of this offer must call to schedule an appointment with the approximate number of cats that you wish to have surgery performed on campaign when scheduling their appointment. Appointments are based on availability. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call our clinic at 951-977-8634.
Due to limited resources, our organization will not be able to provide trapping services.

This event is made possible by TNR Riverside and Actors and Others.

While under anesthesia, the cats are eartipped. A small portion of the left ear is painlessly removed for identification. Learn more about eartipping.
