First impressions are important to people. They are also important to dogs. A first impression may be the one and only impression. A dog who felt fear or intimidation by another may have a difficult time getting over it. The same applies to a dog who felt challenged. Since we want our dogs to get along and enjoy one another, it is important to help both dogs make a good first impression with each other.
